Client Overview
Kiba-Blin is a mobile creperie located in the central park of Moscow. The café is popular among both locals and tourists, and there is almost always a line of customers waiting to order. The concept is based on freshly made pancakes and quick service, offering a variety of sweet and savory options.
Challenges & Goals
Because customers began choosing pancakes from a paper menu only when they reached the counter, the waiting time increased — many lost patience and went to other cafés. To solve the problem and prevent the loss of customers, the owners decided to purchase pancake food replicas for the café window display, showing the most popular fillings. The goal was to speed up the ordering process, increase sales, and make the pancake showcase more attractive through realistic visual presentation.
Our Solution
The Nippon Dom workshop created realistic pancake food replicas for the Kiba-Blin café showcase, using reference photos provided by the client. Each handcrafted pancake food sample was made in an open form to clearly display the filling. The ingredients were arranged neatly in a single visible layer so customers could easily see the composition and be tempted by the realistic appearance.
Results & Impact
The pancake food replicas on the café display immediately improved customer service. Visitors started making their choices faster, and the line began moving noticeably quicker. The seller no longer needed to explain the size and fillings of each pancake — the ordering process became simpler and more efficient. Thanks to the pancake showcase, the café began serving more customers per day and, as a result, increased its profit. This project also became an excellent example of effective cafe visual merchandising using pancake food replicas.
